Add a KB Controller via Manual Add
The following steps explain how to manually add a KB controller using the Borealis web client. Again, before manually adding KB controllers, you must already have the KB hub online and it must have completed its initial update:
- From the main menu, click on Hardware >> Controllers.
- On the right side of the screen click on the ADD CONTROLLER button.
- Enter a name for the new KB controller.
- Select the KB hub from the Hub drop-down list.
- Select the correct controller type from the Controller Type list.
- Enter the IP address that you wish to assign the controller.
Note: You should first ensure that the IP address is available and not already assigned to a different device on the network.
- Enter the MAC address for the new controller. It is printed in the lower-right corner of the controller PCB (it begins: 00-14-34).
- Click the SAVE button to add the controller.
- The new controller will appear on the Controllers screen.
- Initially, the controller status will show as unknown.
- Go to Hubs from the main menu.
- Click on the hub's SCAN button. This will, in effect, assign the IP address to the KB controller.
- Once the KB controller is detected, return to the Controller's screen.
The KB controller should then be showing as online.
