Add a KB Controller via Scan

1.0 Introduction

  1. From the main menu, click on Hubs.



  2. Your hub will appear in the list.
  3. Locate the Actions drop-down menu on the right, click the down-arrow and select Scan, or click the SCAN button.



  4. The scan function will scan the local network for KB controllers.

  5. After a few seconds, controllers will be displayed.

    Note: You may also see Keri NXT controllers appear, as they can co-exist on the same Borealis site.

  6. Place a check mark against the controllers that you wish to claim.
  7. Enter a name for each of the controllers that you wish to add.
  8. Then enter the static IP address you wish to assign the controller(s).

  9. Click the CLAIM button.

  10. At the top of the screen you should see a message stating that the controller has been successfully claimed.



  11. Go to Hardware >> Controllers and the new controllers will be listed.
  12. Initially you will see that the controllers have a status of Unknown.

  13. Please wait 1-2 minutes for KB controllers to come online.
  14. Once the status displays as online, the controllers are ready for use and further configuration.


Important Note: 
Once the controller is online, it is advisable to open live events to check if the controller requires a firmware upgrade.
