1.0 Introduction

Once the PXL-configured hub has been claimed and updated, you can then add a PXL primary controller. A PXL primary is the first controller on the network (and is address #1). There are two methods for adding a PXL primary controller - you can either scan for the LAN-520 device which is the network device that is connected to the controller - or, you can manually add the primary PXL controller (if you know the IP address that's assigned to the LAN-520 module.

The following steps explain how to add the primary controller via the manual add option.

Note: The manual add option should only be used if you know the IP address that is programmed on the primary controller's LAN-520 device.

2.0 Manually Add the PXL Primary Controller

1. From Borealis, click on Hardware >> Controllers from the main menu on the left.
   
   
   
   
2. The Controllers page will appear.
3. Click the ADD CONTROLLER button located on the right.
4. The Add Controller form will appear.
5. Enter a name for the new primary controller.
6. Select the PXL hub to assign the controller to.
7. Select the specific controller model.
8. Enter the IP address for the LAN-520 module that's connected to the controller.
   
   
   
   
9. Click the SAVE button.
10. The controller will be added to the controllers page.
11. Initially the controller status will be 'Unknown', a few seconds later the status should display as 'Online'.
