The BioManager Software is used to communicate to the BioSync fingerprint readers. Once you have connected to the BioSync devices you can configure them, add users, credentials and fingerprints and run basic diagnostic checks.

Software Download and Installation Procedure

1. Visit www.kerisys.com.
   
2. Click the MEMBER LOGIN button in the upper-right corner.
   
   
   
   
3. Enter your registered username and password, then click the LOGIN button.
   
4. The software downloads page will appear (https://downloads.kerisys.com).
   
5. Click the Supporting Software icon.
   
6. Then click on the BioSync BioManager link on the right.
   
   
   
   
7. Select the item: 'BioManager CS Setup' then click the DOWNLOAD button.
   
   
   
   
8. The file will download to the host PC.
   
9. Once downloaded, click the executable file to initialize the software installation. Software installation is a very quick and simple process that should take no longer than a few minutes.
   
   
   
   Note: The version shown may not be exactly the same.
   
   
10. You will likely see a message stating Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 and Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0 both need to be installed so click the Install button.
    
    
    
    
11. Access Database Engine will install first, followed by the Crystal Reports. Click NEXT.
12. Accept the terms of the license agreement.
13. Click NEXT again.
    
14. Click FINISH.
    
15. The BioManager software installation will now resume.
16. Verify the location of the destination folder. Keri recommends installing into the default location.
    
    
    
    
17. You can select to install the client and server or just the client. The server is installed on only one PC, whereas the client can be installed on multiple PCs.
    
    
    
    - The Client - is the software user interface that is used for connecting to the Server and for configuring and maintaining hardware, users and other system configurations.
    
    - The Server is the software that communicates with the hardware and the clients (client software) and reads/writes data to the database.
    
    
18. Click the INSTALL button to begin the installation.
    
    
    
    
19. Installation only takes a few minutes but a green progress bar will indicate when the installation is complete.
    
    
    
    
20. Click the FINISH button when installation has completed.
    
21. On the desktop you will see two additional icons, one for the BioManager Client, the other for the BioManager Server.
