Borealis Release Notes - July 2026

Borealis Release Notes - July 2026

The following lists the updates which have been included in the July 2026 Borealis release.

New Features

  1. CSV File Import - Borealis now gives the System Owner the option to import cardholder and credentials information from a CSV file - typically exported from a third-party access control system. The intuitive import feature allows you to quickly select and map the required data fields to create new cardholder records in Borealis. This is currently behind a feature flag.

  2. Dealer Support Page - The Organization Owner can create a Dealer Support page to provide contact details of the installer of the System. The page can display a website address, contact phone number and email address, business opening hours and your own website contact page can also be embedded. The Dealer Support page can then be assigned to all Systems or to individual Systems.

  3. Saved Operator Search and Filter Selections - The Borealis UI will now save the filter, column and number of items to display per page. This is saved to the user interface per operator. Selections are reset via a button on each screen.

  4. AI Grid Assistant - The AI Grid asistant allows the operator to manually type in or use voice-input to define custom search, filter and data exporting criteria for any page that uses a grid-view.

  5. Delete/Archive All Cardholders, Credentials and PINs - Borealis now gives the System Owner the option to delete all/archive all cardholders, credentials and PINs on the system. This is useful if a large block of credentials have been enrolled incorrectly. A backup file is created that can also be used to restore all critical data, but some data fields are not retained.

  6. Improved Hub/Site Delete Notification - An enhanced notification will now be displayed if an operator attempts to delete a hub or a site. The notification will list all the associated hardware that will also be deleted.

  7. Credential Format Assigned Credential Count - A credential count has been added to the credential formats summary screen. The credential count is the number of enrolled credentials of each format in the system.

  8. Reader Cost Estimation Tool - The System Owner can now use a reader cost estimation tool via the Price List tab of the Subscription screen - Allowing a quick and easy future cost estimate of additional readers based on the assigned price list.

Bug Fixes

  1. Corrected an issue where it was not possible to move a Standard NXT controller to a different hub.
  2. Mercury MP firmware v2.10 is now included and available to upgrade MP controllers. Note: MP controllers must be at a minimum of v2.6 before upgrading to v2.10.
  3. Corrected an issue where a PXL Exit reader would be hidden from the user interface if a PXL-500-2D controller was converted to a PXL-500-IO controller.
  4. Corrected a display issue with a transaction report, exported and viewed as an Excel file. The column A message type was displaying an integer instead of the expected message description.
  5. Corrected a display issue in transaction reports where custom fields were not displaying data.
  6. Identified and corrected a situation where a hub would regularly cycle between online and offline communication status.
