Create a new System Administrator

1.0 Create a new System Administrator

It is a very quick and simple process to add an additional system administrator. By default, all system administrators have full permission to access all the hardware, plus all access groups and other main features, software sections and tasks.

  1. From the General tab, double-click the System Administrators entry in the left hand pane. When it expands the default 'admin' user name is displayed.

  1. Enter information into the following fields:
  • Description - Allows you to change the default name if you wish
  • User Name - Enter a new username
  • Password - Enter a password for the new user
  • Confirm New Password - Re-enter the same password for confirmation
  • Account Type - From the drop-down list ensure System Administrators is selected

  1. Now click the Add Login button. The new user name will be added to the System Administrators user group, along with the default 'admin' account.

  1. Click Save.

 

2.0 Adding a User with Restricted Rights

Add a User Name and Password

  1. From the general tab click the Add Group button to add a new user group to Doors.NET.

  1. Change the default name to something descriptive.

  1. Add a new user name, a password, then confirm the password.

  1. Set the account type to Manager, for example.

  1. Click the Add Login button and the new username will appear beneath the new user group name in the left pane.

  1. Click Save.
