1.0 Introduction
Borealis gives the System Owner the option to delete all cardholders and all credentials on the system. Typically this would be used if a large block of credentials have been enrolled incorrectly, i.e., with the wrong facility code.
When all cardholders and credentials are deleted, the system will generate a CSV backup file. This can be used in the future to restore the most critical data (cardholder names, credential details and PINs but there is some data that cannot be restored (such as multiple assigned access rights). When performing the archive you will be prompted to accept that the backup is not a full database backup.
2.0 Archive All Cardholders, Credentials and PINs
To following steps explain how to delete all cardholders, credentials and PINs from the system:
- Open a web browser and visit keri.aetheros.net.
- Login to Borealis with the system administrator registered email and password.
- From the main menu, click on System Settings.
- The System Settings screen will appear.
- Click the Archive Cardholders... button.

- A dialog box will provide you with a summary of the total number of cardholders, credentials and PINs that will be deleted.

- Click the Archive button.
- A CSV backup file will now be generated and will be downloaded to the client PC.
- You should now read the important information related to the backup file.

- When you are happy to proceed, check the confirmation box and then click the Delete All Cardholders/Credentials/PINs button.
- You will see a notification at the top of the screen that the items have all been deleted from the System.
