Enrolling a 32-bit MIFARE Credential in Doors.NET
1.0 Introduction
This section explains how you can add the 32-bit Mifare CSN (Card Serial Number) and as active card format. Once added, when the reader recognises the credential type, it will pass all 32-bits of the card number to the controller.
2.0 Add 32-Bit MIFARE CSN Format
- From within Door.NET, go to Setup >> Credential Types.
- On a new installation, you will see 3 active formats already added.
- Click the Add Active Format button.
- Enter a name for the new format.
- From the Format selection drop-down list, select 32-bit Mifare (CSN).
- Save the new active format.
- The format will now be active on all NXT-MSC or Mercury controllers on the network.
- In Live Events, when you present a card, you will be getting 'Access Denied - Not in File', instead of 'Access Denied - Unknown Wiegand Format'.
3.0 Enable a Specific Format on a Reader
If you are using NXT-MSC or True Mercury controllers you can configure the reader to read specific Wiegand formats.
- In Doors.NET go to Hardware >> All.
- The hardware tree will be displayed.
- The MSC gateway will be displayed at the top of the hardware tree and controllers will be listed beneath it.
- Navigate to a reader that you wish to enable a specific Wiegand format.
- Select the reader and the reader properties will be on the right.
