Doors.NET - Hardware Gateway Setup
1.0 Introduction
The hardware gateway is the communication bridge between the Doors.NET software and the field controllers. The gateway type must match the controller type that is installed. For example, PXL controllers require a PXL gateway and NXT-MSC controllers require an MSC gateway. The correct gateway type should be enabled on your license and the licensed hardware type determines what services are installed on the host PC.
In this example; the system is only licensed for NXT-MSC and Mercury controllers, so this is the only gateway type that is displayed.
2.0 Setup the Gateway
Setting up the gateway simply requires you to assign a new name to it.
- Select the gateway from the list on the left of the License Manager.

- Click the Settings button.
- Enter a new name for the gateway then click the OK button.

- You will be prompted to start the gateway service. Click Yes.
- The gateway service will then show as - Licensed.

- The gateway is now setup. You can now close the License Manager.
