Doors.NET - Manually Update the Doors.NET Database

Doors.NET - Manually Update the Doors.NET Database

1.0 Introduction

The following steps explain how you can use the UpdateDHSDB utility to manually update the Doors.NET database.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If the Doors.NET database resides on a remote workstation you should copy the UpdateDHSDB utility onto a flash drive or external network drive and the copy the utility onto the database PC and run it locally on the database PC.

The UpdateDHSDB utility allows you to manually update the database. This will need to be done if the database name has been changed from the default database name (DHS_MAIN), or if the database resides on a different workstation. When the database is on a different workstation you would need to make a copy of the UpdateDHSDB utility and then physically copy the file over to the database PC (and then run the utility on the database PC).

 2.0 Manual Update Procedure

  1. First, locate the UpdateDHSDB executable file which can be found in the following default location on a typical installation: C:\Keri\DoorsNET. Double-click to open the application. You may need to wait a minute or so to allow for it to initialize. When the UpdateDHSDB window appears, "Upgrade existing database" will be pre-selected so just leave it on this selection.
