1.0 Introduction
The Holiday Type drop down selection is a list of different holiday types and the number of available holiday types is dependent upon the hardware type you are using.
Holiday types are
used to categorize holidays into different groups and allow different weekly schedules
intervals to be active on those groups. For example, you may define a Holiday Type 1 as
a mandatory company holiday and a Holiday Type 2 as an optional company holiday. By
combining the holiday types with the weekly schedule intervals, you can automatically
deactivate all access levels on any holiday that is type 1 and selectively enable certain
cardholder access on any holiday that is a type 2.
2.0 Number of Holiday Types
- For a PXL site the number of available holiday types is 3:
- For an NXT or NXT-MSC site the number of holiday types is 8.
- A Switch Tech site allows up to 16 different holiday types.
3.0 Assigning and Enabling the Holiday Type
When creating a holiday you must set it to one of the available holiday types.
- By default, holidays are NOT enabled for schedules. To ensure a schedule will activate on the dates defined for a holiday type, you must edit the schedule and enable the holiday type.
- When the holiday type 1 is enabled (as highlighted) then the schedule WILL activate on all holiday dates which are defined as Type 1.
