KB Controller Firmware Upgrade

1.0 Introduction

The following steps explain how to upgrade the firmware on a KB controller via the Borealis user interface.

 

 

2.0 Check if the Controller Requires a Firmware Upgrade

  1. Once you have the controller(s) online, open live events via the last menu option on the left.

  2. If a controller requires a firmware upgrade you will see several firmware upgrade required events.



  3. Make a note of the controller name (displayed in the Description field).
  4. Return to the controller list (Hardware >> Controllers).
  5. Use the controller's Action drop-down list and select Flash.



  6. The select firmware version dialog box will appear.
  7. Select the firmware file from the version drop-down list (there will only be one version which will be the latest version).
  8. Click the SAVE button.



  9. At the top of the screen you will see a notification that the firmware upgrade has started.
  10. Open live events again and you will see a firmware upgrade started event.



  11. Wait for the KB controller to go offline and then come back online again.

    Note: Please wait as it can take a couple of minutes for the controller firmware upgrade to complete.
