1.0 Introduction

The following steps explain how to upgrade the firmware on a KB controller via the Borealis user interface.

2.0 Check if the Controller Requires a Firmware Upgrade

1. Once you have the controller(s) online, open live events via the main menu.
   
   
   
   
   
   

2. If a controller requires a firmware upgrade you will see several firmware upgrade required events.
   
   

2. Make a note of the controller name (displayed in the Description field).

3.0 Upgrade the Controller Firmware 

1. Return to the Controller list (Hardware >> Controllers).
   
2. Use the controller's Action menu and Select Flash.
   
3. The select firmware version dialog box will appear.
   
   
   
   
4. Select the firmware file from the version drop-down list (there will only be one version which will be the latest version).
   
5. Click the SAVE button.
   
6. At the top of the screen you will see a notification that the firmware upgrade has started.
   
7. Open live events again and you will see a firmware upgrade started event.
   
8. Wait for the KB controller to go offline and then come back online again.
   
   Note: Please wait as it can take a couple of minutes for the controller firmware upgrade to complete.
