1.0 Introduction
The following steps explain how to upgrade the firmware on a KB controller via the Borealis user interface.
2.0 Check if the Controller Requires a Firmware Upgrade
- Once you have the controller(s) online, open live events via the last menu option on the left.

If a controller requires a firmware upgrade you will see several firmware upgrade required events.

- Make a note of the controller name (displayed in the Description field).
- Return to the controller list (Hardware >> Controllers).
- Use the controller's Action drop-down list and select Flash.

- The select firmware version dialog box will appear.
- Select the firmware file from the version drop-down list (there will only be one version which will be the latest version).
- Click the SAVE button.

- At the top of the screen you will see a notification that the firmware upgrade has started.
- Open live events again and you will see a firmware upgrade started event.

- Wait for the KB controller to go offline and then come back online again.
Note: Please wait as it can take a couple of minutes for the controller firmware upgrade to complete.
