Mass Edit Access Rights

Mass Edit Access Rights

1.0 Introduction

The Borealis user interface gives you the option to immediately change the access rights to a selection of cardholders. For example, you can select a group of credentials and set them all to have Total access. This section assumes that you have already enrolled cardholders and credentials and you have setup access rights that will determine where the cardholders can gain access.

2.0 Mass Edit Assigned Access Rights

The following steps explain how to select a group of credentials and then use the mass edit function to set all the credentials to the same access rights.
  1. In the Borealis UI, select Credentials from the main menu on the left.
  2. All credentials in the system will appear in a list.

  3. Place a check in the first column for every credential that you want to select. Or click in the first checkbox to select all the credentials on the page.

Note: If you have multiple pages of credentials, that you wish to select, you will have to do 'select all credentials' on each page. There is no option to select all credentials on all pages.

  4. Click on the EDIT ACCESS RIGHTS button.
  5. An assign access rights window will appear (listing all the credentials that were selected).
  6. Use the drop-down menu to select the access right to assign to all selected credentials.

  7. Click the SAVE button.
  8. The credentials access rights column will now display the newly assigned access right for each credential.
  9. The changes will be saved to the database and the credentials will be sent out to the access control network.
