The hardware platform consists of the EP1501 System Processor Module, EP1502 System Processor Module, EP2500 System Processor Module, EP4502, the MSC-SDM Single Door Module, MSC-DDM Dual Door Module, MSC-SDME Ethernet Enabled Single Door Module, MSC-ICM Input Control Module and the MSC-OCM Output Control Module.
Note: The EP series controllers are officially now obsolete and no longer available from Mercury Security but they are fully supported in Doors.NET and fully compatible with the newer LP and MP series Mercury hardware.

The EP4502 intelligent controller is the most powerful controller in the Mercury product family, the EP4502 is built on the Linux operating system enabling the integration of complementary third-party software applications onboard. The enhanced memory footprint provides support for large-scale system deployments with significant user record and database requirements.
The controller’s enhanced onboard memory is designed to support multiple system applications and increased card populations with its storage capacity of up to 2,000,000 user records and an event buffer of 50,000 transactions. The flexible EP4502 utilizes the Linux operating system for extensive communications support and heightened IT security capabilities.
