1.0 Introduction

1. The target hub must be added to the same site as the existing hub.
   
2. The target hub must be online and completed its initial update.
3. If there are PXL secondary controllers these will not be transferred automatically - they too must be moved.
   
4. If the system has primary and secondary PXL controllers, you should move all the controllers first and then perform the required full sync on the target hub. This requires only one full sync on the hub and is therefore the most efficient way of moving a hard-wired network of PXL controllers and/or Entraguards.
   

2.0 Move the Primary PXL Controller

1. From the main menu, click on Hardware >> Controllers.
   
2. You will see the Controllers screen and all displayed controllers should be showing as online. The Controllers screen also indicates which hub the controllers are currently added to.
   
   
   
   
3. Locate the primary controller. This is the controller that displays a programmed IP address.
   
   
   
   Note: It is possible for a site to have multiple primary PXL controllers and each of those primary controllers may have secondary controllers connected to it.
   
   
4. Use the primary controller's Action menu and select Edit.
   
   
   
   
5. The primary controller edit form will appear.
   
6. Scroll to the bottom of the form and select the new target hub from the Hub list.
   
   
   
   
7. Click the Save button.
   
8. The following notification will appear indicating that the target hub will require a sync:
   
   
   
   
9. Click Move. The primary PXL will be moved to the other hub and all controllers on that local PXL network will show as offline. If you have secondary controllers that also need to be moved you should now follow steps 4-9 for all the secondary controllers that are physically on that same network.
   
10. If you do NOT have any secondary PXL controllers on the network, go to Hubs from the main menu.
    
11. Locate the target hub (which the primary controller was moved to), use the hub's Actions menu and select Full Sync.
    
    
    
    
12. Once the full sync on the target hub is completed, the primary PXL will show as online.
    
    
    

Important Note: If there are also secondary PXL controllers connected to the primary controller these will not be moved automatically. Instead you should move all controllers first (primary and all secondaries) and then do the Full Sync on the hub by doing this the full sync on the hub only needs to be done once. Once the full sync of the hub is complete, all PXL controllers will then be online.
