NXT-MSC Controller Firmware Upgrade
1.0 Introduction
The following steps explain how to upgrade the firmware on an NXT-MSC or NXT-MSC controller via the Borealis user interface.
2.0 Check if the Controller Needs a Firmware Upgrade
- Once you have the controller(s) online, open live events via the last menu option on the left.
- Scroll down the list of events that are generated when the controller initially comes online.
- Look for a 'Controller Firmware Needs Upgrade Event'. This controller will require a firmware upgrade.
- Next, click on the Controllers menu option on the left.
- The controller list will appear.
- Click the Action drop-down menu on the right and select Flash.
- The controller firmware dialog box will appear.
- Click the down-arrow and the most up-to-date firmware will be available.
- Select the new firmware file and then click the SAVE button.
- The new controller firmware will be sent to the controller.
- Live events will display firmware upgrade started and firmware upgrade complete events.
