Neutron Controller to NXT Reader Wiring
NXT Reader Wiring Information
Note: Recommended reader cable is Belden 8723 (or equivalent), this is a 2-pair shielded, stranded, twisted cable.
- Pin 1 - +12VDC Output (red)
- Pin 2 - Ground + shield (black)
- Pin 3 - RS-485 A/+ (green)
- Pin 4 - RS-485 B/- (white)
NXT Reader Shield Drain Connection
The NXT reader shield/drain wire of the reader cable MUST be terminated to one of the following points - any corner screw attaching the controller to the enclosure,pin 3 of power input, the ground lug on the controller, or the ground lug of the enclosure. Failure to properly earth ground the reader/peripheral drain wire may result in unreliable communication or operation of the attached peripheral.
