Running Reports

1.0 Introduction

It is very easy to run reports from within Borealis. Reports are available for the following:

  1. Transactions

  2. Inactive Cardholders

  3. Expiring Cardholders

  4. Access Rights

  5. Reader Access


2.0 Transaction Reports

To run a transactions report:
  1. Click on Reports from the main menu.
  2. Click on Transactions.



  3. The most recent transactions will be displayed on screen.
  4. The transactions reports screen will display 10 events per page and there is likely to be multiple pages.

3.0 Restricting the Transactions Report to Specific Event Types

You can use the message type filter to display events of a certain type. For example, you may wish for the report to only include all the access granted events. The following steps explain how to display only access granted events.
  1. Open Reports >> Transactions.
  2. All events which have been generated by the system will be displayed.
  3. Click on the message type filter icon (located at the top of the Message Type column).



  4. Enter a keyword for the event types you wish to retrieve. For example, enter 'Access Granted' to view all access granted events.
  5. Click the filter button.


4.0 Inactive Cardholders

The inactive cardholders report will display all cardholders than have not generated an access granted events on the system. This report also includes cardholders which do not have credentials assigned.
  1. From the main menu, click on Reports >> Inactive Cardholders.



  2. A list of all the inactive cardholders will be displayed.



  3. Cardholders will be removed from this list as and when they gain access on the system.

5.0 Expiring Cardholders

The Expiring Cardholders report provides you with a list of cardholders that are set to expire during the current 24-hour period (from 00:00 until 23:59).
  1. From the main menu, click on Reports >> Expiring Cardholders.



  2. A list will appear of all cardholders which are set to expire on that day (at 23:59).



  3. Cardholders will be removed from this list once they have expired or if the cardholder gets set to 'Never Expire'.

6.0 Access Rights

The access rights report displays a list of cardholders, as well as any enrolled credentials and the access rights that are assigned to the cardholder/credentials.
  1. From the main menu, click on Reports >> Access Rights.



  2. The full cardholder access rights list will appear.



7.0 Reader Access Reports

The reader access report will initially display a list of all the access granted events which have occurred on the system by all cardholders. You can then filter the report so that it only includes specific cardholders or a specific cardholder.
  1. From the main menu, click on Reports >> Reader Access.
  2. The full cardholder reader access list will appear.
  3. Use the cardholder filter to display the access events for a specific cardholder.



  4. Or use one of the other filters to filter the list. For example; you may want to only include a specific reader.
