Assign Access Rights in Borealis
The following steps explain how to assign access rights to credentials. It assumes that cardholders and credentials are already enrolled and the credentials are assigned to the cardholders.
- From the main menu, click on Credentials.
- If you have a large credential database, click on the filter icon located at the top of the Cardholder column.
- Begin typing in the Cardholder name - entries that match the filter criteria will begin to display.
- When you have located the record you wish to edit, place a check mark in the box next to the name and click the FILTER button.
- The credential record for that cardholder will be displayed.
- Place a checkmark to the left of the credential number and then click the EDIT ACCESS RIGHTS button.
- Use the drop-down-list to assign an access right to the credential.
- Finally, click the save button. The credential will be sent out to the access control network with the new access rights.
Note: The new Borealis UI gives you the option of mass-assigning access rights to a batch of credentials/cardholders.
