How Do I Enroll a Cardholder into Doors.NET?

1.0 Introduction

Cardholder enrollment is the process of creating a cardholder record and then assigning one or more credentials to that record using an enrollment procedure. Keri MS, Keri NXT and Wiegand 26-bit credentials can be enrolled using either of the available enrollment methods but note that there are different steps when enrolling custom wiegand formats and MIFARE formats.

2.0 Enrollment Methods

There are multiple methods for enrolling cardholders into the Doors.NET software:

  1. Manual Enrollment - The card details are manually entered into the software. Cards are enrolled one-at-a-time.

  2. Presentation Enrollment - The cards are enrolled by presenting the card to a reader designated as an enrollment reader. Cards are enrolled one-at-a-time and the card details are detected automatically (and then displayed on-screen).

  3. Block Enrollment - Multiple consecutive cards are enrolled in a block. For example; you may have purchased a box of 50 cards and may wish to enroll all the cards at once. You will need to manually enter the card information printed on the outside of the box.

  4. Live Events Enrollment - You can very quickly enroll a new card using the live events grid. If you generate an access denied event at a reader you can then right-click on the event in live events and then select 'Add Card' to begin the live events enrollment process.
